this form of participatory music was popular in cantinas and bars of the Moddell Sector of the galaxy, during the early years of the New Republic. Participants got up on stage and sang songs into a microphone, accompanied by the music which went with the lyrics. A speciallzied monitor displayed the lyrics as the song played, in case the participant forgot them.
