this was the name used to describe the human settlers on the planet Thonner. Over time, the term became something of a generic term to describe the fisherfolk who lived and worked on Thonner, including a growing population of Kian'thar. The two races existed in tightly-knitted communities, with the Kain'thar handling aquatic activities while the humans handled things above the water.
