this thick-boled, deciduous tree was native to the Forest Moon of Endor, and was used by the Ewoks for a variety of purposes. The thick, soft bark could be peeled off and cooked like meat, or it could be dried and used as a form of body armor. The sap, drawn from the tree's secondary bark layer, could be boiled down and reduced to form an effective adhesive. However, it caused severe allergic reactions in Kel Dor and Gand individuals.
