this being was one of the four members of the gang known as the Slams, during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. Ukiah served as the group's expert on weapons and defense systems at the time. Several years before the Battle of Geonosis, Ferus Olin impersonated Ukiah in an effort to infiltrate the planet Romin and located Jenna Zan Arbor. Slam and his gang had gone underground, but suddenly turned up on Romin at the same time as Ferus and the Jedi.
