this was the term used to describe the tendrils which hung from the body of a Yuuzhan Vong worldship. These membranous tendrils were connected to a host of coralskippers, which were deployed to unfurl the ganglia into a sail-like structure. When fully deployed, the outrider ganglia acted like cosmic sails, helping to provide propulsion for the worldship.
