Low-Altitude Assault Transport (LAAT)
this was the generic form of gunship produced for the Army of the Republic by Rothana Heavy Engineering. There were several forms of the 17.4-meter-long vehicle, designated by their mission profile. The LAAT/i was used to deliver clone trooper infantry into battlezones. The LAAT/c was modified to transport AT-TE walkers into battle. The LAAT/v was a vehicle transport, with its hold being used to move speederbikes or other land vehicles to new locations. These ships could attain speeds near 920 kilometers per hour in atmosphere. Each gunship was armed with a wealth of weaponry, including four ball turret laser cannons, two mass-drive missile launchers, four ship-to-ground rockets on each wing, and a pair of chin-mounted laser cannons.
