this Leffingite was a small-time thief who was active on the planet Coruscant during the last decades of the Old Republic. When Obi-Wan Kenobi caught Zam Wesell's modified droid ASN-121, he was dragged through the skies of Coruscant and nearly collided with Magaloof, who was joyriding in a stolen airspeeder. He later turned the speeder over to Hat Lo, hoping to impress the crimelord. Hat Lo decided to hire Magaloof, and paired him with Achk Med-Beq as one of his groups of thieves. During an attempt to steal flame gems from a CoCo Town jewelry store, Magaloof was captured by Lieutenant Dannl Faytonni, who forced Magaloof to turn over the gemstones before letting him go free. When Magaloof tried to explain what happened to Med-Beq, he found that his partner had disappeared. Magaloof was eventually captured by actual Republic Security officers, and was imprisoned for three years in the CoCo Penitentiary's moderate security ward. He realized that he had been duped, and Magaloof decided that crime didn't pay. Upon his release, he retired to his homeworld of Almak.
