this vast chamber was located in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, during the last decades of the Old Republic. The Great Hall was ringed with tiers of balconies, providing seating space for hundreds of Jedi Knights and Masters. Although major announcements and demonstrations were held in the Great Hall, it also served as the primary place of mourning when a well-respected Jedi Master died in the field.
