this white-haired woman was the leader of the A'Mar during the Galactic Civil War. When a group of adventurers was forced to set down on Lamus after having trouble with their starship, Jord greeted them warmly and agreed to provide them with whatever parts they needed in order to repair their ship. She had but one condition: the adventurers had to remain at the Wellspring with the only child among the A'Mar who had not taken a drink from it, to fulfill the obligations of The Vigil. Jord herself had participated in The Vigil thirty years earlier, and understood its importance. She was also somewhat sensitive to the Force, and was attuned to the Wellspring. Thus, she was able to sense the struggles that the adventurers had during the night, and was pleased when they overcame their troubles and helped Olianna keep The Vigil.
