this form of grass was bio-engineered by the Yuuzhan Vong to have thick, sturdy blades. Each individual blade of scalpel grass had razor-sharp edges, and grew to the height of a Yuuzhan Vong knee. Because of its sturdy blades, scalpel grass could cut into exposed flesh with realtive easy, making it the perfect plant for growing outside slave compunds and prison camps.
