this was the name of the largest junkyard found on the planet Belgaroth. Filled with all manner of debris and toxic waste from the Imperial occupation of the planet, the Scrapyard was avoided by virtually every Belgarian. Its existence gave rise to the phrase "living in the Scrapyard", which was used to describe any being who had died recently.
