this vast avenue, formed from azure marble flagstones surrounded by golden serpentine, was located in front of the Anaxes Citadel on theplanet Anaxes. It was on the Grand Piazza that triumphant parades of military forces patrolled, during both the Old Republic and the New Order. The center of the Piazza, formed from the azure marble, was known simply as the Azure Walk. The golden walkways surrounding it were referred to as the Serpentine Walk. Lining the outer edges of the Piazza were thirteen portals: two leading to the quarters of the cadets and newly-commissioned officers of the fleet, two leading to the rooms set aside for visiting dignitaries, six leading to the offices of the commanders who were stationed on Anaxes, two which allowed the Anaxsi population to witness the spectacles and parades, and a final door known as the Last Door, which led to the crypts.
