this form of Yuuzhan Vong weapon was a small, thumbnail-sized glob of plasma that was contained in a hard shell. When agitated and throw, the magma pebble heated up and shed its shell, splattering the target with plasma. These small projectiles were often used against battle droids, since the armor plating of the droids melted quickly under the plasma's burst of energy.
