this was the primary defensive naval fleet that protected the planet Chandrila during the last decades of the Old Republic. Until the onset of the Clone Wars, the CDF was commanded by Admiral Hiram Drayson. However, after the passage of Emergency Amendment 121b, Drayson was replaced by Kohl Seerdon as Emperor Palpatine began to consolidate his base of power.
