Outpost 8
this was the designation used to describe one of the largest chunks of frozen rock and ice which orbited in the ring around the planet Constancia. During the height of the Galactic Civil War, Outpost 8 was one of a multitude of asteroids that were used by the natives of Constancia as defensive positions. Like its companions, Outpost 8 was studded with a variety of turbolaser and ion weapons, which could be brought to bear on starships intruding on Constancia's system.
