this large rodent was once native to the Yuuzhan Vong homeworld of Yuuzhan'tar, and was maintained as an organic form of garbage disposal on many worldships. Supreme Overlord Shimrra kept a group of yargh'un in a charnal pit aboard his flagship, and he often threw unworthy individuals into the pit to be devoured by the creatures.
