this was the primary communication center created by the New Republic, recently renamed the Galactic Alliance, on the planet Calamari during the height of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. Calamari became the provisional capital of the galaxy after the fall of Coruscant, and much of the government's operations were re-established there.
