this form of Yuuzhan Vong biocreation was used to implant yorik coral into the body of an enslaved being. The calcifier had speciallized limbs which allowed it to cut into flesh. Then, it would actually break off pieces of itself and place them inside the victim's body. Over time, these implants of yorik coral crippled the victim and rendered them helpless.
