Thame Cerulian
this famed Jedi Master took a young Dooku as his Padawan learner, just after Dooku turned thirteen, some 68 years before the Clone Wars. Master Cerulian was an expert in Jedi history, and he also spent a portion of his time researching the ancient Sith artifacts found beneath the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Master Cerulian believed that the Sith were not extinct, as many of his contemporaries did, but that the Sith would return eventually. Master Cerulian once confided to Jedi Master Yoda that Dooku was the gifted Padawan he had ever seen, let alow trained.
