this man, the younger brother of Baron Orman Tagge, was a General in the Imperial armed forces during the height of the Galactic Civil War. While he hated the fact that Orman continued to launch crazy schemes in an effort to further the family fortunes, Ulric understood that he had more to gain if the Tagge family could become more valuable to the Emperor. To this end, Ulric often manipulated military contracts in order to further the Tagge family's businesses, and paved the way for new Tagge technology to be introduced. Ulric found himself named Baron of the Tagge family estate when both of his older siblings, brothers Orman and Silas, were killed in the Omega Frost debacle at Junction. However, Ulric was confronted by Darth Vader shortly afterward, who revealed that he had recovered the bodies of Orman and Silas. Using their reanimation as a pressure point, Vader forced Ulric to agree to his own plans, not those of the Tagge family.
