this planet was locked in an intense civil war when it was first discovered by the Jedi Knights traveling aboard the Chu'unthor, many centuries before the Battle of Yavin. The Jedi were able to negotiate a truce, allowing the natives of Qualtrough to join the Old Republic. This was one of many events which served to promote the mission of the Chu'unthor.
