this was the ancient term used to describe the Form V lightsaber fighting style. Note that the Wizards of the Coast website indicates that the Shien style of fighting was unique, with a Jedi holding their lightsaber horizontally. The tip of the blade was pointed at the opponent, and was swung in a quick arc as the Jedi punched their sword-hand at their opponent.
