this was the primary political body that oversaw the government of the planet Ralltiir, until just before the Battle of Yavin. When the Empire discovered that the Alliance had supporters on Ralltiir, Lord Tion and his forces eliminated the High Council - both individually and as a body - to show that rebellion would not be tolerated.
