Byrothsis
this unusual, crystalline mineral was extremely rare. In ancient times, a Jedi Knight would sometimes use a byrothsis crystal in the construction of their lightsaber. In more modern times, byrothsis was used to build infrared camera lenses, but its high price forced camera manufacturers to charge large sums of credits for their cameras. ResSystems discovered how to create synthetic byrothsis, and allowed the use of the element in more esoteric applications.
