Sitting Right of Refusal
this was one of the most obscure of laws created by the Senators of the Old Republic. It could be invoked when a Senator had good reason to keep the details of their personal or private business from the public eye. In most situations, the right of refusal was necessary to protect the Senator's alliances and certain business or political property. In other situations, however, it could bring the Senator's dealings into doubt.
