this man was a stortmtrooper, serving the Empire during the years following the Battle of Yavin. Kovacs wsa part of the first detachment of troops dispatched to the Forest Moon of Endor, in order to secure the moon for use as an Imperial garrison. Unfortunately, Kovacs was also the first stormtrooper killed by the Ewoks, who subvertively objected to the Imperial presence in their forests. Kovacs taken at night, and his fellow troopers could only find his helmet the next morning.
