Metellos

this planet, the primary world in the Metellos System, was known as the "Coruscant that wasn't." It was believed that Metellos was colonized several centuries before the formation of the Old Republic, presumably by explorers from nearby Coruscant. Like Coruscant, Metellos's surface was completely urbanized. Much of the cityscape, however, had degenerated into overcrowded shacks and hovels over the centuries leading up to the Battle of Endor. The rich and powerful lived in floating cities that never came into contact with the surface. On the surface of the planet and beneath, rampant overpopulation limited the amount of habitable area to the barest minimum. Metellos was the fourth planet in the Metellos System, and was orbited by three moons. The average day on Metellos lsated twenty-four standard hours, while its year encompassed 361 local days. The few remaining natural bodies of water were used as septic systems for the ubran areas, and only a small pocket of desert wasteland remained unblemished.
