Bunker Buster
this was the term used to describe the two-stage, rocket-propelled torpedoes that were first produced during the Clone Wars. The primary profile of the bunker buster was to destroy hidden bunkers and buried command posts during a siege. These weapons continued to see usage for many decades, because their basic design was exceptionally effective. The outer casing of the bunker buster was filled with thermal detonators that were set off by the impact with the ground, allowing the inner weapon to bury itself deep below the surface. The initial impact triggered a time-delayed explosion within the inner weapon, detonating the main payload of proton bombs only after it had been buried in the ground.
