Titanite
this rare mineral was found on relatively large quantities on Haariden, buried deep in the planet's crust near its core. Because of this, it was extremely difficult and expensive to mine. Its worth, however, more than made up for the cost of its extraction. Because of this, the native population of Haariden broke into civil war over the rights to control the lands over which veins of titanite were found. Experimentation with the synthesis and extraction of titanite revealed that it could be refined to produce a substance that could be used in the production of bacta.
