Final Redoubt
this was the New Republic's codename for the establishment of a new base of operations on the moon Ebaq 9, in an effort to draw the Yuuzhan Vong into a trap. Using the abandoned bronzium mines, the New Republic established a minimal base on Ebaq 9, outwardly claiming that planets like Kashyyyk and Calamari were easy targets for the Yuuzhan Vong, and a more defensible location was required. The idea, realized during the Battle of Ebaq, was to draw the Yuuzhan Vong into a dead-end hyperspace route in the Deep Core, with the base on Ebaq 9 as the bait.
