this was the Yuuzhan Vong designation of those highly-skilled warriors who were chosen to become the physical incarnation of the hunter. Only one in a thousand warriors was chosen to wear the cloak of the Nuun, which was a living material containing photosensitive bacteria that made the wearer blend into their surroundings.
