a frog-dog living on Tatooine, Bubo was at once plotting against and assisting in plots against Jabba the Hutt. He was an Imperial operative, infiltrated into the Hutt's palace to facilitate communications between the Empire and Ree-Yees. A small transmitter had been placed in a lump of flesh on Bubo's body, hidden until Ree-Yees needed to receive a message. The Gran would then reach into the lump and extract the message display, replacing it after reading the message. Bubo detested Ree-Yees for his drunkenness and his inability to act on his own. Thus, when Ree-Yees was to receive a detonator link for the bomb he was building, Bubo ate it in front of the Gran. This enraged Ree-Yees, and amused Bubo. While all of this was going on, Bubo was secretly receiving training from one of the B'omarr monks, Evilo Nailati. Bubo learned much from the monk, and when Jabba was killed at the Pit of Carkoon, the B'omarr gladly welcomed Bubo's brain into the realm of the enlightened ones.
