Outer Rim Trade Consortium
this group of Outer Rim trading concerns sprang up during the early years of the New Order, in an effort to address the lack of Imperial support the Outer Rim's businesses was getting. The Consortium spent much of its time cataloging and documenting the various Outer Rim exports that were provided to the Empire, in the hopes of ensuring adequate compensation. The Consortium felt that most of the Empire's credits were going to Core World aristocrats, while Outer Rim farmers and laborers were working for a pittance. Behind the scenes, the Consortium supported the efforts of the Alliance, and even registered several freighters and transports - actually owned by the Alliance - under it own name.
