Tight Wing
this was a military tactic, used to enhance the abilities of a group of starfighters by condensing their formation into a tight grouping. While this eliminated maneuverability, it increased the amount of firepower from a single unit. The ability to maintain a tight wing often lasted just a few moments, during the opening engagement of a battle, when pilots of lesser skill dropped behind the main wing because they couldn't match the speed or direction of their wingmates.
