Drethi
this winged beast was bred thousands of years before the Battle of Naboo, with the specific purpose of killing Jedi Knights with its deadly poison. The poison was created in specialized glands, but broke down quickly when removed from the drethi. When injected into a being with little or no connection to the Force, the drethi venom was virtually powerless. However, anytime a being made contact with the Force, the drethi venom burned unless treated by a Jedi healer.
