Grayweave
this was a manufactured form of single-celled protein foodstuff, sold to the poorest of beings on the planet Coruscant during the early decades of the New Republic. It resembled thick gray felt in appearance, but didn't taste anywhere near as good as it looked. However, it was basically nutritious, it lasted almost indefinitely, and it could be afforded by the homeless and poor who lived on Coruscant.
