The Trickery of Vosdia Nooma
this Rodian drama was written and produced during the years leading up to the Clone Wars, and was generally considered more of a political statement than a pure Rodian drama. Written by Hishinu Booj and endorsed by Senator Onaconda Farr, The Trickery of Vosida Nooma was laden with symbolism and allegory that was at once entertaining and a heavy-handed propaganda machine for the Military Creation Act. The play revolved around the title character, whose daughter is poisoned by the bite of a bug, an event which draws the community together. Nooma then begins using his new-found "fame" to spout political rhetoric, and eventually is eleceted baron of the town of Yusk. He begins heavily taxing the local farmers, despite the growing unrest being stirred by a noted soldier. The soldier begins building his own army, while Nooma is unable to decide whether or not to fight back. A Paladin character arrives to urge Nooma to build up his own army, in direct parallels to Chancellor Palpatine's call for an Army of the Republic. The remainder of the drama centers on the bloody conflict that follows, along with Nooma's eventual downfall. The bloody conflict was meant to indicate the future of the Old Republic, should the Military Creation Act not be passed by the Galactic Senate.
