this silver-plated automaton was one of the many protocol droids used by the Metatheran Cartel, during the Cartel's attempt to take control of the economy of the planet Cularin, shortly after the Battle of Naboo. Y4-E was later captured by the underground resistance that tried to thwart the Cartel's efforts.
