this obese Neimoidian was placed in control of the planet Maramere, during the years following the Battle of Naboo. He had been hoping to exploit the planet's wealth of stygium crystals, and used the Mere legend of the Invisible Island to hide the primary location for obtaining them. Six years later, however, Lord Toat was killed in an ambush by Sol Sixxa and a group of Meres who wanted to retake control of their planet.
