this recreational drug was popular on Coruscant, during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. It was essentially a treated form of Ixetal cilona, which could be hardened into a cylinder or liquified and stored in a long vial. Both forms gave rise to the monicker 'death stick.' The liquid form was often consumed by mixing it with softdrinks, and was virtually undetectable in this form. The drug inside the multi-colored cylinders provided the user with a heightened sense of euphoria, but continued use of the drug stole years from a being's life. This continued usage led to an intense addiction, and most abusers reported needed a harder and harder dosage in order to simply exist. Because of its widespread use, the Bando Gora chose to introduce death sticks laden with neurotoxins into the Coruscant underworld, in an effort cause widespread chaos during the years following the Battle of Naboo.
