this was a pastoral settlement found on the planet Alderaan, during the last decades of the Old Republic. Much of Chianar was opened to refugees who were fleeing from planets which had seceded from the Republic, during the year leading up to the Clone Wars. Former Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum was among those who worked to make Chianar a hospitable refuge for these beings.
