this Yuuzhan Vong torture technique involved the use of mental torment over physical torment to subdue an individual before obtaining information. The captive's sensibilities and determination to survive were slowly shaved away by constant verbal degradation until the victim was mentally broken and unable to function, sobbing like a child an incapable of rational thought.
