this man joined the starfighter group known as Kyp's Dozen, shortly before the planet Coruscant fell to the Yuuzhan Vong. Unfortunately, the Dozen arrived at Coruscant shortly after the death of Borsk Fey'lya, and were immediately engaged by Yuuzhan Vong warships. Ian Rym was killed early in the battle, when his X-Wing got caught the crossfire of a Yuuzhan Vong warship.
