Jijite
this small, insect-like reptile was native to the open plains of the planet Ansion. They lived in large hives, burrowing into the ground to live among, and feed on, the root systems of the grasses which populated the plains. The jijite workers built tall, stony pillars from miniscule pebbles and an extruded form of mortar, which served to vent warm air from the tunnels below as well as lookout positions for jijite sentries. These pillars were incredibly strong, and could withstand the blunt assault of a kyren flock.
