this battered YV-888 light freighter was discovered by Lowbacca in the hold of the Baanu Rass, and the Jedi team dispatched to the worldship hoped to use it to escape from the Yuuzhan Vong, once they had eliminated the voxyn queen. After Raynar Thul was injured by a voxyn, he was placed aboard the Tachyon Flier in preparation for the group's escape. However, the ship was commandeered by Welk and Lomi Plo, who jettisoned Lowbacca before takeoff. However, they were unaware that Raynar Thul was still inside. As they blasted into space, the Tachyon Flier was picked up by Yuuzhan Vong sensors, and was almost immediately attacked. In no time, the ship's shields gave out, and the Tachyon Flier was believed to have been destroyed. All aboard the ship were thought ot have died in the blast. However, this conjecture was eventually proven false when the Colony rose to prominence in the Unknown Regions about five years later. The crash site of the Tachyon Flier was discovered on Yoggoy, deep in the Unknown Regions, by Jacen Solo. All three passengers managed to survive, with the help of the Yoggoy insect hive. Raynar Thul was integrated into the Unu hive and became UnuThul, the enigmatic leader who helped grow the Colony. Welk and Lomi Plo were also rescued by a hive, which became known as the Gorog. The site of the crash became known as Ub Ruur, a sacred place to the Colony.
