this was a species of tiny, harmless insects. Many subspecies of flitnat delivered a mildly painful bite, and any being caught in a swarm of these insects suffered from continually being bitten. During their invasion of the galaxy, the Yuuzhan Vong modified the basic flitnat to carry a mild disease that caused the victim to experience intense nausea.
