this young woman, a native of the planet New Apsolon, was a medic who worked for the Rock Workers some twelve years before the Battle of Naboo. Yanci's skills were quite good, and it was her presence in the Rock Worker camp that helped Obi-Wan Kenobi recover from a leg wound, during the Jedi's efforts to discover Balog's true motives. Yanci was in love with her fellow Rock Worker Kevta, and was jealous of the bond Kevta shared with Bini. When Balog's forces attacked their base of operations, Yanci was dispatched to ask the Jedi for help. While she was away, the entire group of Rock Workers was killed, including Bini, Kevta. Yanci decided to remain at the outpost and bury the dead, and eventually moved to the city to live with the Workers there. She later obtained information on Oleg's activities, and provided it to Obi-Wan.
