this Old Republic droid intelligence and programming corporation was bought out by, and merged, with Automata Galactica to form the mega-corporation Industrial Automaton. Corporate leaders at Industrial Intelligence were not happy with the hostile takeover, and locked up many of their corporate secrets in heavily-encrypted computer files. Rumors claimed that the encryption had been done by a Givin programmer, and the fractal combinations required to open the files were impossible to crack. Note that The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology names this corporation as Industrial Intellect.
