Books of Massassi
a series of tablets recovered from a collapsed underground passage by the Jedi students on Yavin 4 following the Battle of Endor. Streen took the task of deciphering them, and had completed sixteen of them when Luke Skywalker left for Lucazec. The tablets revealed that the Massassi measured themselves against the natural world and found themselves lacking. They had achieved domination of the jungle moon, but saw that they were insignificant when compared to the rest of the galaxy. Thus, they continued to strive for perfection, and fell victim to the Dark Side of the Force.
