this primitive weapon is similar to a Wookiee bowcaster in many ways. It uses a crossbow-like structure to launch a thick cylinder into flight at a target. While it has the power of a blaster in terms of stopping an enemy, the bolt-thrower was a single-shot, slow-loading weapon.
